"On Double Dare a right answer gets you dollars but a dare gets
you double & here's how that works. I'll be asking you a question
if you don't know the answer or think the other team doesn't have
a clue, you can dare them to answer for double the dollars. But
be careful, because they can always double dare you back for
4 times the dollars, & then you either have to give the answer or
take the Physical Challenge." During the 1st 65 episodes of
Double Dare, Marc Summers never, ever got messy, but
unfortunately he started to get very, very messy during each
show. "On Your Mark, Get Set, Go" was the catchphrase used
at the beginning of each show & every Physical Challenge. There
was also a prime-time version of Double Dare that ran on FOX
from April 3, 1988 - July 23, 1988. Double Dare also ran in
first-run syndication from 1988-1989. In 2000 a remake of
Double Dare, called Double Dare 2000, premiered, but
was quickly canceled. I wish Double Dare was still on the air.
